AR Racking installs a mobile pallet racking system in the cold store of Novas y Mar Especialidades (Video)

AR Racking, storage systems specialist, has completed the installation of a mobile pallet racking system in the new cold store of Novas y Mar Especialidades, a company dedicated to the sale and distribution of food products.

The installation, carried out in a 10-day time frame, has allowed NOVAS Y MAR ESPECIALIDADES to increase the storage capacity of its warehouse by 30%. The type of mobile pallet racking system installed is drive-in, enabling very compact and efficient pallet storage.

The NOVAS Y MAR ESPECIALIDADES cold store has a total area of 520 m2 and is located in Cambre, La Coruña. The mobile pallet racking system installed has a capacity to store 735 pallets.

“We are very satisfied with the installation carried out by AR Racking”, said Lorena Novas, Project and Quality Director in NOVAS Y MAR ESPECIALIDADES. “Thanks to this system, we have been able to increase the storage capacity of our warehouse without needing to expand the surface area. This allows us to improve our efficiency and better meet our customers’ needs”.

The installation, which was carried out in a cold store environment, was especially complicated. The mobile pallet racking system installed is designed to operate at temperatures of up to -20 ºC. To ensure the correct working of the system, AR Racking used materials and components especially adapted to this type of conditions.
