Stock rotation: priority
Since the goods are perishable or semi-perishable, one of the main characteristics to be met by storage systems for agricultural companies must be correct stock rotation, so the goods do not become obsolete or expire in the warehouse. To ensure correct rotation of stored products, the FIFO “First in, first out” principle is usually followed.
Cold and freezing storage
Moreover, depending on the type of product, industrial racking may have to be installed inside freezing chambers or controlled temperature and humidity rooms.

In cases where cold stores or freezing chambers are established, compact industrial racking will usually be installed, making it possible to reduce the total space to be cooled and therefore optimise costs and shorten the repayment period of the installation for the company.

As with the storage of food and beverages, the area needs to be kept clean and disinfected to avoid contamination of the goods. Their storage and distribution require favourable and adapted conditions to ensure the good condition of the products.
