We develop a flexible storage solution for Bulkmatic

At AR Racking, we have completed a new industrial storage project for Bulkmatic de Colombia in Cartagena. The installation, located in the Complejo Logístico del Caribe, has been designed to increase the company’s storage capacity and improve the efficiency of its daily logistics operations.

To meet these needs, we have installed an AR PAL adjustable pallet racking system, a selective solution particularly suited to operations that require direct access to goods, fast loading and unloading, and flexible management of multiple SKUs. With a total capacity of 6,396 pallet positions, the project makes efficient use of both the available floor space and the height of the warehouse.

Our engineering team developed a tailored design for Bulkmatic, analysing the load characteristics, warehouse dimensions and operational requirements of the project. The installation reaches heights of between 10,000 mm and 11,500 mm and is adapted to 1,200 x 1,000 mm pallets, with weights of between 1.5 and 1.6 tonnes per pallet and load heights of 1,960 mm and 2,100 mm.

The solution was implemented in several phases over seven weeks, with the aim of ensuring an orderly installation aligned with the client company’s needs. We also incorporated protection elements such as mesh panels, pallet backstops and barriers, helping to reinforce installation safety and protect both the structure and the stored goods.

Thanks to this industrial storage system, Bulkmatic now has a more versatile, scalable and efficient infrastructure. Immediate access to each pallet facilitates traceability, product rotation and inventory management, while reducing unnecessary movements, operation times and potential handling errors..
