MAPEI Colombia boosts its warehouse with AR Racking

• 1 ,944 AR PAL positions over 9,000 m², phase 1 of a total 3,800.
• 12-meter-high installation with seismic-resistant design and high-load mesh.

At AR Racking we have successfully completed the first phase of a new storage system for MAPEI Colombia at its logistics center in Tenjo, Cundinamarca, located within the La Pampa Industrial Park. This installation marks a turning point in MAPEI’s logistics operations. MAPEI is a global leader in the production of chemical products for construction, with 87 years of global presence and seven years in the Colombian market.

MAPEI entered the Colombian market in 2017 through the acquisition of Bronco and strengthened its portfolio in 2023 with the incorporation of the Novaflex paint brand. This project represents a key milestone in the evolution of its logistics operations, transitioning from a floor-level storage system without racks to a structured solution that optimizes material flow, improves inventory control, and prepares the warehouse for future growth.

The project marks a qualitative leap from floor-level storage to a structured and secure system that enhances operational flow and inventory management. The implemented solution is a conventional AR PAL adjustable racking system, conceived as a buffer warehouse to increase capacity and streamline daily operations.

In this first phase, we installed 1,944 positions for standard pallets (1.00 x 1.20 m), as part of a broader plan that includes a total of 3,800 positions. The 12-meter-high installation was completed in just 2 weeks, thanks to the high specialization of our technical team and precise planning.

One of the key added values of this project was the focus on safety. At the customer's request, we designed a seismic-resistant structure reinforced with high-load capacity mesh, ensuring product protection, operational continuity, and worker safety.
