AR Racking, a specialist in industrial storage systems, has completed the commissioning of the new warehouse for Importadora Global Medical (IMGLOME), located in the district of Puente Piedra (Lima). The project, based on adjustable pallet racking, meets the customer’s objective of operating its own warehouse to gain operational control and reduce logistics costs, while ensuring compliance with Good Storage Practices (GSP) for Pharmaceutical Products, Medical Devices and Healthcare Products.
The installed solution provides 1,560 pallet positions over a 1,000 m² area, maximizing flexibility to manage a high number of SKUs and speeding up stock rotation. Direct access to each pallet facilitates order preparation and traceability—both critical requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
The design—7,500 mm in height and adapted to 1,000 x 1,200 mm pallets—was tailored to a controlled temperature environment and to the customer’s GSP requirements. AR Racking’s engineering team customized the configuration to balance capacity, safety and workflow efficiency, integrating inspection and maintenance criteria that ensure service continuity.
“With this new warehouse we gain operational independence and inventory control. AR Racking’s solution allows us to handle more references quickly and safely, meeting pharmaceutical sector standards and the GSP manual,” says Q.F Marjorie Mendoza, Quality Manager at IMGLOME.
“We responded immediately to the customer’s operational growth thanks to our stock availability in Peru and close project management. In just three months we delivered a robust, scalable selective racking installation fully aligned with GSP,” explains Omar Durand, project lead at AR Racking.
