IDEPLAS – Colombia’s leading plastic sheet manufacturer boosts its new warehouse with an AR Racking installation

• 440 AR PAL pallet positions across 2,000 m² as the first growth phase toward 2,000 positions

AR Racking has completed the first phase of the storage system for IDEPLAS, a company in the plastics sector, at its new warehouse located in Siberia – Parque Industrial Celta, Funza (Cundinamarca, Colombia). The installation marks the start of a logistics platform designed to support the customer’s growth with a robust, scalable structure focused on day-to-day efficiency.

The solution implemented is a standard selective pallet racking system AR PAL, conceived as a buffer warehouse, with the aim of increasing storage capacity and improving operational efficiency. In this first stage, 440 pallet positions have been enabled, with a planned expansion of 1,560 additional positions in subsequent phases, reaching a total of 2,000 positions.

The project was executed within one week and includes a 12-metre-high installation, adapted to standard pallets (1.00 x 1.20 m). To ensure optimal use of space and smooth operations from day one, AR Racking supported the customer with layout and distribution consulting, considering both the dismantling and reinstallation of existing racking and the incorporation of new racking lines in this initial phase.
