AR Racking boosts Productos Congelados Selectos 3000’s cold-store capacity in Picassent

• 10,368 pallet locations at –25 °C
• AR PAL system operated by wire-guided trilateral stacker cranes.

Productos Congelados Selectos SL (PCS) has entrusted AR Racking with fitting out its new cold store in Picassent (Valencia). AR Racking’s design is based on a conventional 12-metre-high AR PAL system with six storage levels, including floor level, optimised for use with wire-guided trilateral stacker cranes and capable of housing 10,368 Euro-pallets (800 × 1,200 mm) weighing up to 700 kg each.

‘From the outset we understood that PCS’s priority was to maximise storage density without sacrificing operational agility. The AR PAL system guarantees full accessibility and robustness at –25 °C, giving the customer a scalable platform for future growth,’ explains Javier Miquel, AR Racking’s Sales Delegate for the Levante region.

With this installation PCS strengthens its expansion under the ALL PCS FRÍO SL brand and significantly improves the efficiency of its frozen-goods inventory. The layout maximises storage density while ensuring full access to every location, safeguarding the cold chain at –25 °C and reducing handling times.

The building will be completed by mid-September, when the AR Racking team will begin erecting the racking. Conceived in close collaboration with the customer since October 2023, the project assessed several technical alternatives in order to select the solution that delivers the greatest long-term performance and safety.
