AR Racking and PM STEELE® boost Refacciones Acquaroni’s CEDIS

• Four storage systems installed in just eight weeks maximise the new CEDIS footprint.

AR Racking, in partnership with its official distributor in Mexico, PM STEELE®, has completed a tailor-made storage system for Refacciones Acquaroni at the Central Business Park on the Mérida highway. Executed in only eight weeks, the project combines adjustable pallet racking and picking systems supplied by PM STEELE® with a mezzanine and gravity spiral provided by an additional partner, optimising more than 840 m² of the new distribution centre (CEDIS) dedicated to automotive spare parts.

The solution—making full use of both vertical and horizontal space—gives Acquaroni an agile, orderly CEDIS ready to extend its logistics reach across Mexico. “We are very satisfied with the speed and quality of the selective and picking-system installation; we now manage our inventory more efficiently and can reach our customers sooner,” the company notes.

Detailed engineering, led by Arturo Esparza, Mauricio Pascasio, Rina Hernández and Enrique Burgos of PM STEELE®, leveraged AR Racking’s certified Spanish manufacturing together with PM STEELE®’s local expertise. According to PM STEELE®’s management team, the project cements their leadership as a regional logistics-solutions integrator: “AR Racking’s technological support and our local experience have produced a benchmark project for Yucatán’s automotive industry.”
