AR Racking installs an adjustable pallet racking system for Gourmet’s warehouse expansion

Gourmet, the pioneer firm in the manufacture of food products such as condiments, soups and creams, pastries, sweet sauces and essences, among others, has once again expanded its facilities in Malloco (Peñaflor), in Chile.

In order to continue developing culinary products of distinguished quality for consumers in Chile, Mexico, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica and Peru, Gourmet has expanded its raw material warehouse and finished product warehouse in order to continue offering the best selection of products in its sector.

AR Racking, a worldwide provider of industrial storage solutions with a delegation in Santiago de Chile, began working on the expansion of Gourmet’s warehouse 5 years ago. This project has been completed with the installation of the Adjustable pallet racking system (AR PAL) in the more than 13,000 m2 distributed in the two mentioned warehouses.

With the installation of this system for palletized loading, 2,340 positions have been achieved in the space that stores the raw material and 1,210 positions in the finished product warehouse. The AR PAL system installed allows great versatility due to its ability to adapt to any type of load unit or forklift truck with immediate access, it makes possible to quickly locate each pallet and it creates a direct access to all cargo units.
