AR Racking installs conventional double-deep racking system for the new Nexsys Distribution Centers in Chile and Colombia

Nexsys is the first value-added wholesaler in information technology solutions in Latin America. The company has a portfolio of clients mainly focused on education, commerce, mining and a wide variety of sectors.

Nexsys has relied on AR Racking’s professionalism for the design and assembly of its warehouse in Lo Boza, Pudahuel (Chile), as well as the one in Colombia. A conventional double deep Adjustable pallet racking system has been installed. This system is designed to store pallets mechanically, by means of forklifts. The warehouse, which has an area of 1,400 m2, now has 2,200 storage positions thanks to the conventional AR PAL double-deep industrial storage solution with uprights of 9,500 mm of height, and seven load levels.

Pallets are accessible through structured aisles that allow immediate and direct access to all cargo units and stored references. As complementary safety elements, it has been decided to install rack end protectors on the heads and in the central tunnel.

Lorena Barrenechea, Nexsys’ Logistics Manager in Chile, says that “because of the great diversity of references that we have in Nexsys, orderly storage with total stock control was difficult. Thanks to the installation project of the conventional AR PAL system, we have gained speed and efficiency, thus keeping our commitment to the harmony between process structure, infrastructure and customer satisfaction”.

For his part, Juan Antonio Valdebenito, AR Racking’s Project Manager states that “we have chosen to add safety measures such as the rack end protectors on the heads and the central tunnel in the pallet racking system in order to guarantee a perfect finish which is also safe and resistant”.

The robustness and resistance of the storage systems of AR Racking is backed by the compliance with the Chilean NCH 2369 standard, which establishes the requirements for the seismic design of industrial structures and facilities.
