  • We are moving forward with the two Rack Supported Building at the new Almenara centre.
  • We have designed a solution with more than 182,500 pallet positions.

At AR Racking, we have begun construction of the two clad-rack warehouses for JYSK’s new distribution centre in Almenara, Castellón. This is a landmark logistics project in Europe due to its scale, level of automation and capacity to support the company’s growth in Southern Europe and North Africa.

Following JYSK’s groundbreaking ceremony a few weeks ago, we began our work on site in early April. We are currently carrying out the anchoring phase, the first step in the construction of the clad-rack structures, which will progress from the summer with the assembly of the full structure.

We were selected to design, manufacture and install a customised industrial storage solution comprising two high-bay Rack Supported Building with capacity for 182,500 pallet positions, managed by 20 stacker cranes. This solution will maximise the capacity of the new centre and ensure automated, efficient and reliable long-term operations.

JYSK’s logistics centre, located on a 274,000 m² site, will also house JYSK’s new head offices for Spain and Portugal. Its commissioning is scheduled for 2027/2028 and it will create employment for approximately 250 people.

With the start of this project, we reinforce our leadership in large-scale automated logistics projects and our commitment to innovative, robust industrial storage solutions designed to support the expansion of growing international companies.
