AR Racking drives the expansion of MercadoLibre in Colombia

AR Racking, storage solutions leader, has successfully concluded a new project in Colombia for MercadoLibre Colombia, one of the ecommerce multinational giants in the region. This project, carried out at MercadoLibre’s new facilities in Cota, Cundinamarca, is a clear example of the company’s sustained growth in the country and the trust placed in AR Racking to implement an efficient, high-quality storage solution. With an area of approximately 20,000 m² and total of 3,360 positions, this storage system has been designed to maximize use of the space and offer MercadoLibre greater operational capacity in its continuous expansion process.

The system installed is a single-deep selective pallet racking solution (AR PAL), ideal for efficient organisation of space and fast-moving inventory. This single-deep racking consists of 5 storage levels, with a loading capacity per level of 2,000 kg, allowing for robust and safe handling of goods. This system was specifically designed to store American pallets (1000 mm x 1200 mm x 1900 mm), which helps optimize vertical space in the warehouse, whose last level reaches a height of 10.30 metres.

MercadoLibre, which is among the leading players in the ecommerce y fintech sector in Latin America, trusted in AR Racking’s experience and technical capability to develop the solution.
