We deliver 20,000 pallet positions in Gelsenkirchen with SNI-Nord

• We have equipped a major logistics project at MLP Park Gelsenkirchen with 20,000 pallet positions.
• Together with SNI-Nord, the installation was completed in just three months, integrating custom requirements and fire protection.

At AR Racking, we have completed a major industrial racking project in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, together with our distribution partner SNI-Nord Regaltechnik GmbH. The installation at MLP Park Gelsenkirchen provides a total of 20,000 pallet positions and was completed within just three months, responding to a highly demanding schedule while maintaining quality, safety and operational efficiency for a client in the 3PL sector. 

Our AR PAL racking system forms the core of a large-scale storage installation that also incorporates custom structures and a fully integrated fire protection system. The project required a solution capable of combining significant storage capacity with the flexibility needed to accommodate the specific requirements of the facility.

Together with SNI-Nord, we worked within an implementation process in which precise coordination was essential. Different project stages were closely interconnected and, where required, carried out in parallel to maintain the ambitious schedule.

“The biggest challenge was ensuring precise coordination between everyone involved, from material logistics to on-site assembly,” explains Peter Boers, Project Coordinator at SNI-Nord. “Only through this close coordination were we able to consistently avoid delays.”

Several assembly teams worked simultaneously on site, allowing racking assembly and fire protection installation to progress in a coordinated way. As Alexander Schiel, Site Manager at SNI-Nord, explains: “Carrying out the different workstreams simultaneously was key to completing the installation on schedule.”

Despite the speed of execution, quality and safety remained a priority throughout the project. The integrated fire protection system was installed in parallel with the racking structure, enabling the different stages of the installation to progress efficiently and supporting completion within the three-month timeframe.

With this project in Gelsenkirchen, we continue to demonstrate the value of combining AR Racking industrial storage systems with the local expertise of our distribution network.
