AR Racking: successful installation of Geimex’s new logistics warehouse in Madrid (Video)

AR Racking, has completed an important project in Getafe (Madrid), with the installation of the new logistics centre for Geimex, leading company in the car bodywork spare parts distribution sector. The company has designed and implemented a comprehensive storage solution based on the AR PAL system, specifically adapted to the customer’s particular needs in terms of space, capacity and operational efficiency.

The project stands out for its high customisation, especially developed by AR Racking to fully optimise the available space and facilitate Geimex’s internal operations, in its commitment to a strategy of growth and improved customer service. This solution enables the efficient and safe management of complex and bulky products in the automotive sector, such as bumpers, bonnets, doors, mirrors and lighting, significantly improving the internal organisation and speeding up the picking process.

The installation, operated with Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) order pickers, has been designed by the Technical Office of AR Racking’s northeast office, in close collaboration with the customer’s engineering team. This coordination has made it possible to define specific areas, according to the type of part, thus ensuring optimum accessibility and a logistics distribution of the references.

The AR PAL system, chosen for its versatility, has been key to structuring a warehouse which, without using pallets, maximises every available square metre, while ensuring stability, safety and ease of replenishment in a high stock turnover environment.

With this specialised installation, implemented in an 8,500 m² and 10-metre-high area, AR Racking has contributed significant value in terms of increased operational capacity, reduced preparation times and a general improvement in Geimex’s logistics processes.
